The fortified village of Poët-Laval, also classified as one of France’s “most beautiful villages”, is also well worth a visit (18 km from the campsite, 27 min by car). Admire the former Commandery of the Knights of Malta and the views from this perched village.
Another village not to be missed is Mirmande , with its old stones and art galleries (39 km-48 min by car). Stroll along its flower-filled lanes for a moment of total relaxation. The small village of Aleyrac is also worth a visit, not least to see the ruins of a 9th-century priory listed as a historic monument (31 km-33 min by car).
The village of Bourdeaux (1.4 km or 3 min by car or 10 min by bike) offers a peaceful atmosphere in exceptional surroundings. Situated at the crossroads of several hiking trails, this dynamic village with its shopkeepers and craftsmen will be delighted to welcome you.
