Fireworks in Bourdeaux and Drôme Provençale: our guide to summer festivities

Every summer, the Drôme Provençale lights up with fireworks, festivals and concerts, bringing the region’s villages and valleys to life. Bourdeaux, between Crest and Dieulefit, organizes its own summer festivities just a stone’s throw from the Bois du Châtelas campsite. Beyond the village, a rich cultural agenda extends throughout the region: fireworks over the Rhône in Valence, a music festival in Saou, popular evenings in Die, Saillans or Mirmande. Nestled at the top of the village, in the heart of our campsite in Drôme Provençale, we invite you to enjoy each evening as an invitation to explore a living territory, rooted in its traditions and open to the world.

The surrounding villages also celebrate summer

Around Crest and the Drôme valley

The valley is a hub of festivities. Crest and the surrounding area are an active cultural hub throughout the season. The town, dominated by its medieval tower, regularly organizes open-air events: concerts, entertainment in the central square, themed evenings. Nearby communes such as Aouste-sur-Sye, Allex, Grane, Eurre, Blacons, Mirabel-et-Blacons, Chabrillan and Loriol-sur-Drôme each offer their own local program, often centered around the 14th of July and summer fêtes votives.

In Livron-sur-Drôme and Saillans, the riverbanks lend themselves well to gatherings. Lively quays, illuminated bridges and natural waterside areas provide spectacular backdrops for fireworks over the water.

Towards Die, Saillans and the Gervanne

As you head up towards the Gervanne and the foothills of the Vercors, the villages retain a very lively relationship with collective festivities. Die is a must-see every summer: the town organizes major events, notably linked to its brewery tradition and music scene. As for Saillans, Pont-en-Royans and the Gervanne, the smaller towns make up for their size withauthentic festivities: a popular ball in the church square, bonfires fired from the banks of the Roubion, meals shared between neighbors.

Saou and its forest are another magnet, both for hiking and for the cultural events that take place there every summer.

Further north: Valence and the banks of the Rhône

For large-scale pyrotechnic displays, Valence and the towns along the Rhône – such as Suze-la-Rousse, Mirmande or Beaufort-sur-Gervanne – offer shows that attract large audiences. The quays of the Rhône in Valence, the Place de la République or the riverside at Jean-de-Muzols offer impressive vantage points for the region’s most spectacular fireworks displays.
